Have you seen a man weaving cloth in your community? Well, In Bhutan, we hardly see a man weaving and I agree that most of you have not seen it. Or may I know your opinion on it? So, today I am going to share a story of a man who found weaving as the most suitable livelihood asset. As a young boy, he used to worry a lot about his life. He used to think of every alternative that would help him to sustain his life until one day when he realized himself growing interesting in weaving. And he is 38-year-old Tandin wangchuk from Tashigang. He was 3rd born in his family of eight siblings and he had to sacrifice his school days for younger ones. Therefore as a young boy, he learned weaving with utmost interest. It is amazing to know that he used to support his brothers with the little amount he earned by weaving. Isn’t that awesome? Well, he used to weave all types of Traditional Bhutanese dresses including "Kishuthar", "dwhor" and "karchang" for sale. H
