'Folded man’ stands up straight after 28 years following four successful surgery.

Inspired by video from South China Post.   So yesterday, I watch a documentary about a folded man and his successful surgery. Well, the story I am going to share with you today is about Mr. Li Hua from the city of Yongzhou in central china’s Hunan province.   At the age of 18, he was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease that, over time, can cause some of the small bones in your spine (vertebrae) to fuse. This fusing makes the spine less flexible and can result in a hunched-forward posture. If ribs are affected, it can be difficult to breathe deeply (Mayo Clinic, 2019). Mr.Li did not have the financial means for proper treatment and relied on his elderly mother for 28 years and she was only his full-time carer. His entire upper body was folded onto lower limbs in permanent and he cannot lift his head to eat and drink. Story of Mr. Tandin wangchuk who weaves cloth for living.

  Have you seen a man weaving cloth in your community?   Well, In Bhutan, we hardly see a man weaving and I agree that most of you have not seen it. Or may I know your opinion on it?   So, today I am going to share a story of a man who found weaving as the most suitable livelihood asset. As a young boy, he used to worry a lot about his life. He used to think of every alternative that would help him to sustain his life until one day when he realized himself growing interesting in weaving. And he is 38-year-old Tandin wangchuk from Tashigang.   He was 3rd born in his family of eight siblings and he had to sacrifice his school days for younger ones. Therefore as a young boy, he learned weaving with utmost interest. It is amazing to know that he used to support his brothers with the little amount he earned by weaving. Isn’t that awesome? Well, he used to weave all types of Traditional Bhutanese dresses including "Kishuthar",  "dwhor" and "karchang" for sale. H

Lockdown

  Lhendrup could not sleep well that night. The night was unusual with strange howling of dogs and roasters alarming at wrong time. It was a night before nationwide lockdown was announce.  Lhendup got disturbed by unusual night and searched for his phone to overcome  his sleep less night. He put on his mobile data to check his Facebook page and scrolled Newsfeed on his page. " 1 women at Gyelphu tested positive on PTR outside the qurentine facility....and prime minister will be live at 7 am to brief about nation wide lockdown...." The Bhutanese. Lhendup could not do anything than to became dumb like a non living object. As soon as the dawn curls up, he informed the news to rest of the family members and it was sad movement for him when he saw his mother filled with tensions.  Aum Cheki , a mother of three was worried of not having enough ration at that movement.
