To visit the Gigantic Buddha statue was one of my bucket list since my childhood. I used to think of visiting it whenever I find the picture of statue in newspaper, movie and popular electronic diaries (Blog). Thank God ! I made it today after long and heavy break from daily works. My friends and I decided to visit the place to refresh ourselves from the work. The statue houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues, each of which, like the Great Buddha Dordenma itself, are made of bronze and gilded in gold. The Great Buddha Dordenma is sited amidst the ruins of kuensel phodrang, the great palace of sherub wangchuk ,the thirteenth Druk Desi.
